Rumour | Play Overwatch Free on console 9th-12th September

Gamers will soon be able to try out Blizzard’s Overwatch for free on consoles, allowing them to play with their friends who otherwise might not have the game.

Next weekend Blizzard are doing a free weekend in conjunction with Playstation and Xbox, allowing players to have a try of the game to see what they thing.

This is probably to draw people into buying the game, and will run between the 9th September 2016 – 12th September 2016, from Friday to Monday.

There are no announcements of a PC free weekend, so us PC players will be free from the Genji and Hanzo tide which will inevitably overrun the Console.

It also look like there is a bit of a console war going on between Xbox and Playstation, as Playstation are looking to make it clear that it will not require a Premium Playstation Plus Membership, whereas on Xbox you will require Xbox Live.

Hope everyone enjoys their free playtime!
